ARAY Social 👀 | araysocial.com | £££ | What if we told you your favourite agency is soon to be your favourite UGC platform? Watch this space… |
Twirl | https://www.usetwirl.com/ | £££ | We love Twirl. It’s your comfy platform. That’s the best way to describe. Super easy to use, and the process is just smooth overall. It’s just good. The platform consistently offers solid projects— often with straightforward briefs, pre-written scripts and fair pay. Fees might lean on the lower side versus pitching directly to brands, but as far as apps/platforms go, it gets the seal of approval, £100-150ish per video. Brands include TRIP, Nip + Fab, Huel. |
Aspire.IO | https://www.aspire.io/ | ££ | Mixed experiences. The platform makes submitting content, tracking campaign details, and understanding expectations pretty easy, but the site can be glitchy at times. Communication is usually quick, with speedy responses and prompt payments. However, you'll have to wade through quite a few low-paying or gifted to find the gems that work for UK creators. Brands spotted include the likes of Loreal, Dove, and TEMU so there can be big players, but that doesn’t mean their willing to pay decent rates. |
Occasionally, campaigns drag out with revisions or slow responses, so choose your projects wisely. | | Join Brands | https://joinbrands.com/ | £ | JoinBrands is good for newbies looking to work with brands to build a portfolio! Easy to navigate, apply for jobs, and communicate, buuuuut criminally low pay and lots of small jobs, especially when you're new. It’s not uncommon to see as low as $5-$15 for projects, coming out to around £10. This is not industry standard, but can be a nice way to get some free products to build your portfolio with. Beware they also take about 20% of your earnings, which can be a nasty surprise 😬 Payment is via PayPal and pretty quick, so overall, handy if you're just getting started, but once you've built your portfolio, ditch. | | Social Cat | https://thesocialcat.com/ | £ | Social Cat is another one if you're new to UGC and looking for gifted collabs to build your portfolio! Mostly gifted rather than paid, so good for initial experience and content creation practice 🎁 It seems to have shifted a little over the last year, it used to have some really solid brands on it, but lately their seems to have been a drop in quality? Creators might see up to 20 brand requests a day, with some only offering a discount and affiliate scheme, which is a complete no-go for UGC creators. Watch this space, we’re holding out hope for them to come good again. | | Insense | https://insense.pro/ | £ | You’ll see Insense recommended a lot if searching for UGC platforms, but, and it’s a big but, Insense for US creators and Insense for UK creators are two very different kettle’s of fish. It’s a pretty user friendly app and there is a lot on there, but finding project that you can apply to as a UK girl or guy isn’t easy. When you do find one, you can often expect the standard low-ball deals. There are some gems in there though, so ifyou're selective with applications, it can be an ok source for opps, especially when you're building your portfolio. | | TRIBE | https://www.tribegroup.co/ | ££ | Tribe is super easy to use with clear instructions and a helpful team. There’s plenty of UGC and influencer work available, so it's great for gaining exposure with larger brands. Big names like Airwick, Boots, IAMS. But there are a few (orange? 🚩🚩🚩) flags, a major downside is the payment structure: you either wait 45-90 days or pay a hefty 10% fee for quicker payouts, which can feel steep, especially on bigger projects. We’ve heard horror stories around confusion around content rights annnnnd submitting content upfront then not getting approved. Overall, Tribe is decent for making brand connections, but just be aware of the potential pitfalls. | | Takumi | | | | | GRIN | | | You give perpetual rights to the agency/platform if you use them. | | Billo | | | | | Influee | | | | | Vidsy | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
